The 13th Annual Harvest Party for children with cancer and their families will be held on the Ocean County College campus on Saturday, October 17, 2009. This annual event is held for children with who have suffered the devastating effect of cancer and their families.
The fun-filled afternoon features live entertainment, games, refreshments, and, one of the most popular features of the party, the Craft Tent, which is located on the lot next to the College Center.
The Craft Tent provides many hands-on activities for the children. With the assistance of volunteers, each child can create a craft, play a game, or enjoy a snack. Many groups are needed to staff the tent. Each group designs their own activity and provides the supplies. Tau Iota is asking every group interested to come up with a “Going-Green” Craft.
Phi Theta Kappa has traditionally taken a leadership role in staffing the tent with OCC clubs and community organizations. We hope you will assist us in continuing this tradition by joining us in the Craft Tent this year.
